Barlines are vertical lines that cross staves in order to show how music is divided into bars, according to the time signature. This is a thin vertical line that divides the music into sections making it easier to read. It is also used before a Time Signature change or before a Key Signature change in the music. Single Bar Lines divide music into equal measures of time.Ī “double” (2 thin) Bar Line is used at the end of a section of music (which is not necessarily the end of the music).
